Ah, the bystander effect. We learned in my CPR class that if you are giving the Heimlich maneuver or CPR to anyone and you need an ambulance called (duh), the bystander effect usually takes over, so shouting out “Call 911!” does nothing 97% of the time. You have to take the time to ACTUALLY POINT AT ONE PERSON and tell them to call.
